Q: Are your programs accredited?
A: No, our programs are not accredited. However, we strive to provide high-quality education that prepares our students for careers in the entertainment design industry.

A: Classes are generally not recorded, due to sensitive material and privacy concerns for our instructors and students. However, some classes may be recorded with prior notice given to students. If you miss a class, please check with the individual instructor about repeating the missed materials. Please note that some classes may be recorded in full or only during demos for students to review. The decision is at the instructor's discretion.
Q: Can students take screenshots?
A: Students are not allowed to record sessions or take screenshots without the consent of the instructor.
Q: What timezone will the classes be taught in?
A: The classes will be based on Pacific Standard Time (California).
Q: What language will the courses be taught in? A: While many of our teachers are proficient in multiple languages, the courses will be taught in English.
Q: What happens if an instructor is unable to complete the class? A: If an instructor cannot complete a class, you will have two options: you can either receive a full refund of your original purchase price or transfer the class credit to take the same or a different class at a later date. Please note that the class you choose to transfer your credit to must be the same or lesser value as the original class you purchased. For example, if you paid $50 for a workshop, you cannot transfer the credit for a $500 class.
Q: If a class is canceled before the full course length can be completed, what will happen to the students currently enrolled who are still interested in taking the same class the next time it is available?
A: The students will have priority registration for the next course taught by the same instructor.
Q: Can instructors reschedule classes or take time off due to illness or personal reasons? A: Yes. If an instructor needs to reschedule a class or take time off due to illness or personal reasons, the class will be rescheduled for a later date based on the instructor's availability. While we do not offer refunds for missed classes, it's important to note that the number of class days will not be reduced and the students will still be able to attend the same amount of classes total.
Q: If our instructors miss a class, will a substitute teacher be brought in? A: It depends on the instructor. In some cases, a substitute teacher may be found to cover the class if our instructors cannot teach. If a substitute teacher is brought in, the class will still be considered a regular class session.
Q: Are there any prerequisite requirements?
A: Most of our courses do not have prerequisites. However, if there are any, they will be clearly stated in the course description. In some cases, we may list skill-level recommendations to help you determine whether a course is suitable for you. We hope this information will assist you in making an informed decision about which course to take.

We operate on a first come, first serve basis for our wait list. If a course or program becomes fully enrolled, we will start a wait list for interested students. When a spot becomes available, the next student on the wait list will be contacted and given the opportunity to register for the course. Students will be added to the wait list in the order in which they express interest and complete the necessary paperwork.
If you are on the wait list and a spot becomes available, you will have 48 hours to register for the course before it is offered to the next student on the wait list. If you are unable to register within this time frame, your spot will be forfeited and offered to the next student.
We encourage all students to regularly check their email for updates on the status of their wait list placement. If you have any questions about the wait list policy, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Software and Hardware Requirements
Required Software:
To attend our online classes, you will need to have Zoom installed on your computer. You can download it from the following link: https://zoom.us/download. Please make sure that Zoom is compatible with your region if you are living outside the United States.
Q: Do I need a webcam or a microphone?
A: While these are not mandatory, we highly recommend that students have a functioning camera (as nobody wants to speak to a blank screen) and a microphone to engage with the class actively.
Q: Should I use a PC or Mac?
A: Unless specified in the course description, either PC or Mac platforms will suit most classes. Lectures will be hosted on either platform. Ensure that your browser is up to date to avoid compatibility issues.
Students are responsible for providing their own software, such as the Adobe Suite. GG Academy does not offer an education discount; you will need a .edu email address.
